This logo was created for an Orlando client looking to bring his Halloween dance event idea to the next level. HOWLX was a Halloween swing dance event Orlando area featuring multiple nights of dancing, costumes, visitors from outside of Orlando, and lot’s of sweets.
The Illustrated logo consists of two ghoulish characters dancing before a rising moon. The “HOWLX” lettering underneath the image helps give the outline appearance of a cupcake. Colors were chosen to keep in line with the season, to convey something fun and festive, yet in line with traditional halloween colors. Purple was selected to be something solid, but more gentle than strict black, and Yellow was for a translucent, glowing effect.
