In the storms of life, tossed to and fro by wind and waves, we all need a little guidance and help on our individual journeys. I chose the lighthouse as my subject because it’s a stable point that ships could be fixated on during terrible storms, and that warm, guiding light would bring them to a safe haven, where they could then rest and recover before continuing their journey. The light streaming out from this Calligram Lighthouse also creates a misty silhouette of a latin cross, a universal symbol for help, hope, and life. Creation of encouraging pieces is always a joy of mine.
