This minimalist poster was inspired by the legend of the murderous bride, Constance Hatchaway, one of the 999 happy haunts residing within Disney’s Haunted Mansion. It started with research into the lore of the character: sketches, artwork, and history, so it would be clear what made the Bride unique. The five strands of pearls stands for each of the husbands murdered by her weapon of choice: the hatchet. Colors chosen were off white because I wanted to portray a faded, old wedding dress. The tinge of blue was chosen to because of the appearance the ghostly bride in the upper attic of the Haunted Mansion in the Magic Kingdom.
